Collaborative spying on Iran

Is it okay to cross-post something from Ogle Earth?

In the news today is the report from ISIS showing how Iran has expanded its underground nuclear facilities.

I took the images from the report and put them in Google Earth. This gives the pictures far more context, both geographically and time-wise. Here is the KMZ file for Google Earth.

I'm sure this annoys the Iranians, but probably also Rummy, as he's going to have to come up with far better reasons than "trust us" when it comes to selling a war with Iran. He's going to have to show, preferably using Google Earth, why exactly he needs to do what he wants to do if he wants to build popular support for another military adventure. Given the fiasco in Iraq, we shouldn't ever take him at his word again. Imagine if Google Earth had been around in 2002, in the run-up to Iraq...

Who's "us", kemo sabe? You're a frickin' expat Belgian living in Scandinavia. And no offense, but we don't need Europe's permission. So Secretary Rumsfeld doesn't have to prove jack shit to you.

Just like Iraq, the main problem with Iran is the regime. And while I'm sure you Yurpeens would be pleased as punch to see the U.S. locked in another very expensive, multi-generational effort at containment to keep some new bunch of would-be world-beaters from nuking Europe, that is not going to happen.

You have apparently forgotten that United States forces did as little damage as possible to Iraq as it invaded. Iran will not get that same deal.

Brief sum-up: number one we're not invading Iran. Number two, we'll see how good they are building nuclear bombs without things like electricity and highways and oil revenue. Number three, if I was a life insurance underwriter I wouldn't be issuing any policies on senior Iranian officials.

I guess the general populace of Iran can look forward to less electricity, oil, water and safety. Imagine what it would look like if we actually tried to destroy the country.

For decades we've hesitated to deal with Iran out of sympathy for the population. But if we don't deal with Iran now, there is a very high likelihood of a nuclear exchange in the Middle East between Iran and Israel. So if you want to see what Iran looks like "destroyed", then we should do nothing. Millions will die.

But don't worry - you'll still find a way to blame Bush, regardless. You'll blame Bush as an incompetent if Iran arms with nukes, and blame him as an imperialist, or a liar, or a pawn of Halliburton, etc, etc, if he successfully prevents it.
