"i" is for "infidel"

No joke: Apple stands accused of offending Islam as a result of building a store in the shape of a cube on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to listening to the voice of Satan on my infidelPod.

Thats funny. When they were building it, it looked even more like the Ka'ba and gave me the shivers actually, because it was clad in plywood that had been painted black. The intention was to give it an air of secrecy, but the resemblance was striking. Now that it's done, I think it looks much more like the I.M. Pei pyramids at the Louvre.

Okay, I didn't pay much attention until I saw this on MeFi...

MEMRI is headed by a former Israeli military intelligence officer, and has been variously characterized as pro-Israeli and anti-Arab, or as a useful window into the Arab world.... A spokesman for MEMRI refused to divulge the identity of the original Web site that complained about the structure, but claimed the Institute had translated the objections into English from Arabic.

Interesting that with so many clear cut examples of violence and stupidity from Islamics someone might have bothered to just make this one up.

... with Sterling himself as the only plausible perpetrator, is that what we are meant to infer?
